Resumo
Currently, the concrete industry is looking for more eco-sustainable alternatives for its products, one option is the replacement of part of the Portland cement with wastes or by-products from other industries. Particularly, the processing of perlite rock for its expansion generates natural perlite dust (PPN), a waste that affects the environment. This work proposes the incorporation of different percentages of PPN (up to 30%) as a replacement of cement in colored self-compacting concretes (C-SCC). The rheological properties in the fresh state and the mechanical properties in the hardened state were analyzed. The results indicate that the incorporation of PPN decreases the flowability and increases the viscosity of the mix and does not affect negatively the compressive strength for replacements up to 10%
